Race for Life

I didn’t run the race but I certainly got some exercise.

Or backache for life!

Day one of this weekend’s races in Huddersfield, and we were woefully short-handed in the Finish Funnel. But the band of cadets worked heroically, augmented by random people coming in to help when they could.

The trouble (for me) was that I had to keep reaching down to my left to grab bottles of water, then swing up and hand them to runners on my right. Good aerobic exercise, but not when you’re as fit as a butcher’s dog. I think I’ve recovered, but tomorrow I might have to do it the other way around… try and balance out the benefit…
